Born in Italy, daughter of refugees from North Africa, Yael is a multidisciplinary artist that often combines traditional and non-traditional art practices – from digital fabrication processes to metal fabrication, electronics, mold making, filmmaking, and creative direction. Her unconventional and eclectic background enables her to dive into the world of ceramics from a unique point of view. Her artwork and installations have shown nationally and internationally over the past twenty years. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts at European Institute of Design in Rome and a Master of Fine Arts at San Francisco State University.
